Limiting admissions adds to the problem of overworked nurses. If patients cannot be admitted to the hospital, then they will return to their doctors. If their doctors cannot see them, then they will head to the ER, which adds to the paitent load in the ER. Then they are admitted to the hospital with a short staff. We need to change our approach to taking care of the sick to help people from getting too sick.
